Wellbeing
We promote the wellbeing of our Post-16 students in the following ways:
-
Students have a tutor who oversees their academic progress and pastoral care and are available to meet students individually in tutor time.
-
Students learn about ways to keep physically and mentally healthy in tutor time sessions.
-
Students learn about the symptoms of common psychological disorders and how to seek support if they, or others, experience symptoms.
-
Students can be referred to MIND counsellors in school where appropriate.
-
Students receive information about Kooth, an online counselling service for young people, in briefings.
-
Teachers and tutor will pass on any concerns about the wellbeing of students to the Safeguarding and Year Team who will speak to students and parents where appropriate.
