Train with us

We care. At ACET we take care of our students from day one. Our vision is to deliver high quality practical training and support that produces great teachers with a good work life balance.

We support. Each school based training session is delivered by current practitioners who are experts in their field but have not forgotten what it is like to be a trainee teacher! As such they are packed full of practical advice that will really make a difference in the classroom as well as a few tips and tricks to help. When it comes round to the employment windows we are there with help and support to help you secure your dream post. 100% of our cohort have secured jobs. 100% of trainees feel well supported by us.

We listen. We are constantly evaluating our training and value each trainee’s feedback. Feedback is strong with 100% of trainees for the last 2 years rating the training they received as good or outstanding.

We keep in touch. Your placements will be with one of our partner schools but we maintain a close relationship throughout your training, checking in on you and meeting regularly. You receive a weekly teaching and learning bulletin with practical teaching ideas and strategies linked to the further reading underpinned by the very latest research. The transition between your placements will be comprehensive with both mentors communicating ensuring you get the best out of each placement. With clusters of schools in Rotherham, Derbyshire and Sheffield we have placements across a wide geographical area with a range of schools from urban to rural.

We celebrate: Your journey ends with a graduation ceremony to celebrate your achievements. We take pride in your success as you move on to become NQTs.
