Football Trip Great Success |

 On Wednesday the 19th of September Aston Academy's PE Faculty were fortunate enough to get hold of tickets for the Champions League game between Manchester United and Galatasaray at the Theatre of Dreams (Old Trafford). As a faculty we were lucky enough to be able to take 26 students comprising of Sixth Form, Y11 and Y10 students from the school's football teams.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for both staff and students culminating in an exciting game that had a lively atmosphere. The excited look on the students faces as they entered the ground made the long journey worthwhile and one we hope to repeat.

Congratulations to Daniel Jeffries who showed an impressive performance at the British Championships at Swindon this summer. He is the British Champion for U16 but is currently only 11 years old, which shows outstanding skill, dedication and confidence. Daniel has also been selected to be part of the Junior British Team to compete at the Irish Open Championships in Dublin on Sunday 28th October 2012. Aston Academy staff and students would like to wish Daniel good luck for this event! |
